Plaza Botero

It contains the largest exhibition of outdoor sculptures in the world of the Antioquian artist Fernando Botero. There are 23 monumental works donated by the master that make this place one of the main references of the city and an icon of artistic expression.

The Plaza, also known as Parque de las Esculturas, has an area of approximately 7,500 square meters and is surrounded by the Museum of Antioquia and the Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe, a must for visitors that are looking after outdoor activities in Medellin.

Museo de Antioquia

Founded in 1881, it is the first museum that was founded in the department of Antioquia and the second that opened its doors in Colombia. In its rooms, more than 5,000 pieces are exhibited, covering all periods of history and the artistic expressions of Antioquia and Colombia, as well as temporary and itinerant exhibitions of national and foreign artists. Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe

The majesty of this neoclassical Gothic building, designed and built by the Belgian architect Agustín Goovaerts between 1929 and 1937, is part of the cultural and patrimonial complex of Medellin.

It is currently the headquarters of the Institute of Culture and Heritage of Antioquia and houses treasures such as the Historical Archive of Antioquia, the Departmental Music Library Hernán Restrepo Duque, the Musical Documentation Center, among others.

Parque Arví

Jardín Botánico
