We keep getting asked this question: What are the best ATM banks in Medellin for withdrawing money? The answer to this question, unfortunately, remains to be debated. However, knowing the exchange and ATM transaction fees will give you an idea which bank will work for your own needs.  We have curated a list of the different banks in Medellin and their respective ATM fees and withdrawal limit to help you determine which ATM gives you the best value everytime you withdraw money.

Banco Caja Social

ATM Transaction Fee: Free

Withdrawal Limit for every transaction:  700,000 COP

Banco Davivienda

ATM Transaction Fee: Free

Withdrawal Limit for every transaction:  320,000 COP

Caveat: They charge a 3.5% exchange fee for every transaction, although some users mentioned that if you do not accept to pay the exchange fee at the end, you will not be charged.

 

Banco Pichincha

ATM Transaction Fee: Free

Withdrawal Limit for every transaction: 1,500,000 COP

Caveat: You have to pay an exchange fee of 2.5% for every transaction

BBVA

ATM Transaction Fee: Free

Withdrawal Limit for every transaction:  300,000 COP

Caveat: You can do a maximum of three transactions per day.

Scotia Colpatria

ATM Transaction Fee: 15,000

Withdrawal Limit for every transaction: 1,500,000 COP

Caveat: If you use a Colpatria bank without “Scotia,” the maximum withdrawal limit is 900,000 COP

Bancolombia

ATM Transaction Fee: 15,000

Withdrawal Limit for every transaction: 600,000

Caveat: If you have an account with them, the transaction fee is free.

Servibanca

ATM Transaction Fee: 12,000 COP

Withdrawal Limit for every transaction:  780,000 COP
